Hi all

2010 countdown at Vivo on 31 December 2009 was a blast. Jollity Club was the first in queue and after we were allowed to enter to the stage area, we manage to secure ourselves with good spot, good view. Live telecast of the countdown was shown on channel 8 at 11pm.

Joanne, together with Tay Ping Hui did a duet – 当你想起我. Other then singing, she was involved in some games, together with Your hand In Mine casts versus Together cast. The game was the guys are to touch/feel the females’ hand and aftermath, blindfold and guess which females’ hands is it.

Nearing 12am, call the artiste came back on stage to countdown and everyone was super high, all start wishing each other happy 2010 =)

To end off the countdown, all the cast from Together and Your Hand in Mine plus Daren Tan and 迷路兵 sang songs from that show respectively.

The minute Joanne and Jade were on stage, the 2 hosts ask them what they have been busy with and not long, proceed to playing games.

During this segment, our very own committee, Joey went up on stage and what she was suppose to do, was to follow a pose that Joanne did in 1 of the 8 days issue. Winner is based on cheering and clapping, thus Jolliteers cheered very loud for her

The event lasted for about 15 minutes and both of them went to the booth for a photo-taking by the media. lastly, they bid good-bye and the event wrap up at 7pm.

Hi all

Joanne and Nat were at City Square yesterday for this event. Fans of these artistes were there as early as 6pm to have a good spot. Not long, Nat arrive to do his mic check, followed by Joanne.

The event started about 710pm by having the both of them on stage to tell the audience what they are busy with. It's the moment that we were all waiting for, their performance and Joanne was the first to start by singing Last Christmas, followed by Nat.

After their performances, they proceed to the 'carriage' to light up the huge christmas by peddling for about 3 mins or so. Then they went back to the stage area to watch a performance by a group of drummers, using recycled materials.

Joanne and Nat hang around a little longer before going to the 'carriage' for a photo-taking session by those organisers. After spending 5 mins or so, they went back to teh stage to wrap up everything.

Not only the artistes participate, 6 Jolliteers went up on stage to participate too. Initially 12 of us agreed to participate but we split inot 2 groups, 1 group to do the arm flex hang first while the second groups help to look after our belongings. In the end, it was so packed with humans that only the first group participate.

the whole event lasted for 3 hours. although doing the arm flex hang is tiring but it was all for a good cause and we really enjoy ourselves.

Zhang Yaodong: Joanne Peh and Felicia Chin are like north and south poles

Posted by applegreen at 10:03 AM on November 09, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Hi all

here's an article about joanne's latest drama - Your Hand In Mine, which will debut tonight on channel 8 at 7pm. Remeber to catch this drama =)

Zhang Yaodang's acting resume is enviable. The Malaysian-born actor has since acted opposite two of Caldecott Hill's gorgeous leading ladies, Felicia Chin and Joanne Peh in two Channel 8 megadrama series Love Blossoms and the upcoming Your Hand In Mine.

Last year, his then-onscreen pairing with Felicia in Love Blossoms (both the original series and the sequel) sparked rumours of an off-set romance. In an interview recently, he said, "Perhaps it might be due to the show's long filming, everyone's imagination starts to run wild."

When it comes to love, the 32-year-old shared his outlook and revealed, "I have always maintained the mindset of letting nature take its own course."

His latest role is in yet another megadrama, the upcoming 180-episode Your Hand In Mine and also sees him coupled up with another of MediaCorp's Princesses, Joanne Peh.

Asked to share his thoughts on these two leadings ladies, Yaodong likened his two leading ladies to be like the north and south poles, with stark differences in characters.

He praised Joanne for being an intelligent lady with a character of her own and commented that she's like the Singaporean version of Maggie Cheung, and described Felicia to be more of a sensitive girl.

Aside from acting, Yaodang is busy managing and expanding his roasted meat food stall business (his partner is fellow actor Terrence Cao), and recently opened his fifth outlet in Jurong West. The upbeat fella expressed that he is "happy being busy and enjoys being busy," and shared that he is coping well between both jobs.

His secret? Proper time management. "Nothing is impossible as long as you are willing to do it."

Jollity Club fans gathering

Posted by applegreen at 10:55 AM on October 03, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Hi all

3rd October 2009, Jollity Club organized a fans bonding session gathering held at East Coast Park from 11am to 4pm.

Afew of us who want to eat meet up at McDonalds at 11amwhile the restcame in at 12pm. 12pm, we went to the breakwaters to chit chat(introduction for those who never meet before) as soon Vincent came, we proceed to cycling.

First stop was the hawker centre, we stopfor a drink and aftermath, we played captain's ball. After 2 rounds, we continue cycling to the next stop which is bedok jetty. Initially we wanted to continue a little further after bedok jetty but the sky seem gloomy, thus we cycle back to McDonalds.

Timing was just right, it's time to return the bikes. Then we head back in to McDonalds for a drink. The whole gathering was a so-called unplanned gathering because we didn't really plan the program, we play by ear as it goes but it wasindeed a fun yet small gathering.

Jollity Club team would liketo thanks the 10 fans(including 3 committees) for attending this bonding session. We hope to c more Jolliteers participates in such gatherings in the near future =)
